The Key (Board) to Success: Effective Emailing

People don't treat email with the same care as face to face interactions. It's almost as if they're so complacent with the speed of email that their ability to use it in an effective manner diminishes with every message. As a result, they're less approachable - even via technology.

Check out Scott Kirsner's fantastic article on email effectiveness called The Elements of Email Style.

LET ME ASK YA THIS...

What's the most common problem in the emails you receive?

Ever heard of "No Email Friday"?

Here's a good article and Joho the Blog's post.

Found this article that states, "People are less likely to LIE in emails when compared to communicating by phone."

The most common errors in e-mails I receive are incorrect grammar and punctuation. Also, if I ask a question in an e-mail, I'd really like an answer to that specific question not everything else BUT that question.

Oh, and could you read my e-mail at least twice and read YOUR e-mail at least THREE times. Please??

Dear Scott, thanks for another super article, i just love this site, thanks for the hard work.
